{"id":116593,"date":"2024-12-09T17:31:44","date_gmt":"2024-12-09T12:31:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=116593"},"modified":"2024-12-09T17:31:44","modified_gmt":"2024-12-09T12:31:44","slug":"pm-for-ensuring-safe-evacuation-of-pakistanis-from-syria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/top-news\/pm-for-ensuring-safe-evacuation-of-pakistanis-from-syria\/","title":{"rendered":"PM for ensuring safe evacuation of Pakistanis from Syria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> ISLAMABAD, Dec 9  : Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday directed the concerned authorities to form an action plan for the safe evacuation of Pakistanis wishing to return from Syria, via neighboring countries as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister was chairing a meeting held here to review the current situation of Syria and safe evacuation of Pakistanis present in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll possible steps should be taken to ensure the safe evacuation of Pakistanis from Syria,\u201d the prime minister stressed.<\/p>\n<p>The safety of Pakistanis\u2019 lives and property in Syria is our top priority, the prime minister said instructing to utilize all available resources for this purpose.<\/p>\n<p>He also directed the Pakistan Embassy in Damascus to establish an information desk and a helpline to facilitate the Pakistanis. <\/p>\n<p>Until the security situation improves, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs\u2019 Crisis Management Unit and information desks at Pakistani embassies in Syria and its neighboring countries should remain operational round the clock, the prime minister directed.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, and senior officials from relevant departments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Dec 9 : Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday directed the concerned authorities to form an action plan for the safe evacuation of Pakistanis wishing to return from Syria, via neighboring countries as soon as possible.
