{"id":112134,"date":"2024-08-14T18:00:37","date_gmt":"2024-08-14T13:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=112134"},"modified":"2024-08-14T15:40:29","modified_gmt":"2024-08-14T10:40:29","slug":"aiou-celebrates-independence-day-with-patriotic-fervor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/latest-education-news\/aiou-celebrates-independence-day-with-patriotic-fervor\/","title":{"rendered":"AIOU celebrates Independence Day with patriotic fervor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Aug 14 :Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Wednesday marked Pakistan\u2019s  Independence Day with enthusiasm and national pride.<br \/>\nThe celebration commenced with a Guard of Honor presented to Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood, by a well-coordinated contingent of the university\u2019s security guards.<br \/>\nFollowing the Guard of Honor, the Vice-Chancellor hoisted the national flag to the tune of the national anthem, accompanied by collective prayers for the stability and prosperity of the country.<br \/>\nThe event also featured a seminar titled \u201cAugust 14: Day of Renewed Commitment,\u201d organized by the Department of History in collaboration with the Directorate of Student Advisory and Counselling Services.<\/p>\n<p>In his address, Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood emphasized the importance of adhering to the principles of Quaid-e-Azam to make Pakistan a beacon of peace and progress.<br \/>\nHe urged the youth to channel their passion towards the country\u2019s development, stating that nations progress when their youth are determined to move forward.<br \/>\nSpeakers at the seminar included AIOU Registrar, Raja Umar Younas, Director General of Regional Services, Dr. Malik Tauqeer Ahmed Khan, Chairperson of the History Department, Dr. Kishwar Sultana, and Senior Faculty Member, Dr. Abdul Basit Mujahid.<br \/>\nThey called for a renewed commitment to realizing the dreams of Pakistan\u2019s founders and working for the nation\u2019s progress with unity and discipline.The celebration concluded with the Vice-Chancellor cutting an Independence Day cake alongside participants and children, who enthusiastically chanted slogans of \u201cPakistan Zindabad\u201d (Long Live Pakistan).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Aug 14 :Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Wednesday marked Pakistan\u2019s Independence Day with enthusiasm and national pride.
