{"id":110647,"date":"2024-07-15T19:00:48","date_gmt":"2024-07-15T14:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/?p=110647"},"modified":"2024-07-15T15:54:10","modified_gmt":"2024-07-15T10:54:10","slug":"ifa-seizes-500-kg-of-rotten-meat-in-aabpara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pni.net.pk\/en\/regional-news-pakistan\/ifa-seizes-500-kg-of-rotten-meat-in-aabpara\/","title":{"rendered":"IFA seizes 500 kg of rotten meat in Aabpara"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Jul 15 (APP):The Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) on Monday seized 500 kilograms of rotten meat destined for the Aabpara meat shop to ensure food safety during Muharram.<br \/>\nTalking to APP, Deputy Director Operations of IFA Dr Tahira Saddique said that the operation, led by the food safety teams (FSTs), resulted in the destruction of the tainted meat, the imposition of a heavy fine, and the<br \/>\nfiling of a case against those involved.<\/p>\n<p>She said that the foul-smelling meat was discovered concealed in the supplier\u2019s vehicle.<br \/>\nThe Deputy Director of the Islamabad Food Authority noted the presence of insects on the meat and the lack of essential records and documents, highlighting the seriousness of the offense.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Tahira Siddique, part of the food safety team, emphasized that consuming such contaminated meat poses severe health risks.
