ISLAMABAD, July 13 (Online): A few days ago, senior Pakistani actor Rashid Mehmood made headlines after sharing his heavy electricity bill for the month of June 2024. His news reached millions of social media users who supported him. Many said that they are also suffering from the same pain after inflation and it has become really difficult for them to cope up with the current situation. Recently, many other actors are getting courage to speak against rising electricity cost and the heavy bills they are getting.\r\nFamous Pakistani singer Humaira Channa, who is known for her hit lollywood songs, said that she is badly affected by the heavy electricity bills. Talking about it, she said, \u201cYou guys know that we all are worried because of inflation. We are also responsible citizens, we are ambassadors of Pakistan. You all know about the current situation in Pakistan. We are also suffering from heavy bills. I would urge the government officials to give us relief in bills. I got a bill worth 60 thousand pkr. We only use one AC at night, during the day, we don\u2019t use it. We are barely managing with it because we have kids at home who are studying in university, we have to manage everything on our own without any stipend.\u201d Here is the link to the video:\r\nAnother famous singer, Nooran Lal opened up about heavy electricity bill. She said that it has become difficult to pay the heavy electricity bills along with taxes. She said, \u201cI am Nooran Lal, I want to talk about the current situation in the country. I am talking about the bills and heavy taxes. I got two meters at home to keep our units controlled despite that they have given us heavy bills on both meters I got bills worth 40 thousand and 33 thousand on both meters along with heavy taxes. We are artists, we don\u2019t have any other businesses. We are barely managing. I am a single woman who is running a house. It is really difficult to deal with finances at home and now we are gifted with these bills. We have always done PTV shows. We didn\u2019t demand anything from them and now we are getting these bills. Is this what we deserve?. She appealed to the government\u201d Here is the link to the video:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nFamous Pakistani former actor and host Mishi Khan is quite vocal about inflation and electricity bills and she has informed the social media users that the electricity cost is going to increase in the future because the government has already increased the price of electricity units. \r\nSinger Maria Mir also talked about receiving heavy electricity bills. She said that it has become really hard for her to pay these bills.
