However, the PTA later chose not to take a stance on the issue.<\/p>\n<p>An FBR spokesperson announced on Thursday that as of May 22, 2024, the FBR had blocked 11,252 SIMs of non-filers.<\/p>\n<p>In other news, FBR Chairman Malik Amjed Zubair inaugurated the new Regional Tax Office building in Islamabad. At the ceremony, he highlighted that the new facility is equipped with modern technology to improve taxpayer services and streamline tax collection processes.
