ISLAMABAD, MARCH 08 (ONLINE): Superintendent Adiala Jail has assured Islamabad High Court (IHC) the lawyers will not be stopped from meeting PTI founder. Filing his reply during the hearing of contempt of court case against him , Adiala jail superintendent Asad Warraich told the court lawyers will never be stopped from their meeting with PTI founder. <\/p>\n
The case came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan Friday. Advocate General (AG) Ayyaz Shaukat and superintendent Adiala Jail Asad Warraich appeared in the court\/. At the inception of hearing Superintendent Adiala Jail Asad Warraich filed reply in IHC. <\/p>\n
He took the plea in his reply Jail administration has upheld all the orders of IHC. Security personnel are appointed during the meetings of PTI founder for his security.
\nDirectives have been issued to security guards inducted during meetings with PTI founder to stay at some distance. Security personnel will not be able to hear the conversation during the meetings. <\/p>\n
He further told that 6 batches have been set up for meeting with PTI founder after consultation with the lawyers. The lawyers of PTI founder will never be stopped from meeting him. Lawyers of PTI founder will be allowed to bring documents and stationery inside jail.<\/p>\n
Asad Warraich told in the report that the documents brought by lawyers are never taken into their possession by jail authorities. The documents are passed through security scanner . Security scanners have not capability to copy the documents. Jail authorities always treat lawyers of PTI founder with respect and honor. All the orders of IHC are implemented in true letter and spirit.<\/p>\n
The assistant lawyer told the court senior lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat is in another court. <\/p>\n
The court inquired from the lawyer how much time he will take. <\/p>\n
The assistant lawyer told the court he will come within some time. <\/p>\n
The court inquired from AG has his affidavit been filed.<\/p>\n
The AG replied yes the affidavit has been filed. <\/p>\n
Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan remarked ” you should read the order. Some things were for legal advisor. What things you are telling are irrelevant.
\nLater the court while directing AG to read out affidavit remarked you should give copy of your affidavit to petitioner.
\nThe court announced interval till the arrival of lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat. <\/p>\n
On resumption of hearing after internal the matter of not allowing Umar Ayub Asad Qaisar and other to meet PTI founder came up under discussion. <\/p>\n
Jail Superintendent told the court arms and ammunition were recovered from the back side of jail two days earlier. Two persons were arrested due to which search operation continued the whole day long yesterday. The leaders were not allowed to meet PTI founder due to search operation. <\/p>\n
Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan remarked PTI founder will give in writing he would have meeting with whom. No one will give the application to superintendent jail except the names given by PTI founder. <\/p>\n
Sher Afzal Marwat counsel for the petitioner prayed that jail superintendent remains busy therefore, some focal person be appointed. <\/p>\n
Jail superintendent told court that Additional superintendent Adiala jail will be focal person. The number of visitors of PTI founder has increased. We have to stop several works due to the security of PTI founder. Therefore the days fixed for meeting be allowed to continue. <\/p>\n
AG told the court two days of Tuesday and Thursday are fixed.
\nTwo sessions each are therein. 6 persons can meet in one session. <\/p>\n
AG requested the court to adjourn hearing after Ramadan. <\/p>\n
The counsel Sher Afzal Marwat said in the court Khan Sahb will come out of the jail in Ramadan. They want to seek this petition is made in-fructuous. <\/p>\n
